It's Supper Time!

My usual long-windedness will have to be cut short because I have sold my house, and I am in the middle of moving to Revel Creek (a CCRC aka Continuing Care Retirement Community), which is part of The Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. Revel Creek is located on the Heritage campus at Portage St and Miller Rd. NO, I AM NOT RETIRING — yet. Simply moving into an apartment and getting rid of most of my “stuff” so that, as I learned in Girl Scouts, I’ll be able to leave my campsite cleaner than I found it. I look forward to not having to worry about the house and garden upkeep (you should see how ratty the yard looks), and cooking dinner lost its charm when I lost Ken. The moving day is Monday, July 25th.

Alec continues to be the exact right person to be co-owner. It is uncanny how much we are alike (though he is WAY better at social media and, more importantly, a better manager than I). It is also uncanny how closely our dreams of the future of the bakery mesh. On to this week’s dinner.

Because the suppers are so popular (thank you, Steve), we have a lottery system for reservations. To enter the lottery, fill out the form. Even though it says “closedform” in the link, pay it no heed.

Reservations will be staggered between 5 pm and 7pm and we will contact you if you are a winner in the lottery including the time of your reservation.

I’ll be back in action next week as we prepare for Alec and Callie’s wedding! The bakery will be closed on Saturday, August 13th, so that we can all celebrate! We will, however, be at the Bank Street market on the 13th, so you can still get your fix! However, we will not be at the Portage Market on the 14th — too much partying!

See you soon,
Judy
