Fruit, Fruit, Fruit

This will be a short email. I am still moving, or rather, I have been billeted in a motel waiting for Revel Creek to finish being built. Not too fun, but everyone is trying very hard to make things work. The estate sale nearly brought me to my knees. I felt bullied by the operator, which made it worse than it had to be. But I am back at work and ready to support Alec as he is about to take off some time to get married on August 13th. Just a reminder, the Bakery will be closed on the 13th so we can all party. We will, however, be at the Bank Street Farmers Market, having packed things up the night before. We will NOT be at the Portage Farmers Market on the 14th.

Here it is!!! A Vegetarian (actually vegan!) supper. Chef Steven is reveling in the fabulous array of vegetables that we have in this part of Michigan at this time of the year.

Because the suppers are so popular (thank you, Steve), we have a lottery system for reservations. To enter the lottery, click on this link and fill out the form. Even though it says “closedform” in the link, pay it no heed.

Reservations will be staggered between 5 pm and 7pm and we will contact you if you are a winner in the lottery, including the time of your reservation.

I'm going to continue taking advantage of our wonderful fruits and vegetables that are available now! Heritage tomatoes are getting close, and corn and squash and beans and and! The farmers market is really the place to shop for them. My problem is buying too much.

Celebrate Summer!
