We've Got Bunnies!

 

OK, are you ready for next weekend? Need bread bunnies? We have bunnies, and more bunnies, and also bunnies. We are getting better every year at making them and this year they're so cute that when you see them you can't help but say “They are sooo cute" in a real high voice. They aren’t easy to make because the bunnies before they are baked look nothing like the bunnies after they have risen and baked. You have to develop a sense of what the dough will do, and then compensate for that as you make them.

Of course that's not all we have this coming week. Chocolate Babka, Hot Cross Buns, Stollen, and Butterflake and Cloverleaf rolls. That's not even the whole list! We also have Polenta Cake, Josephine’s Anise bread, and on the weekend, Chruściki (aka Angel Wings).

Remember that we only make Josephine’s Anise Bread during Lent so stock up (best to order in advance). We promised Josephine Pietrobono, the woman who developed this amazing recipe, that we would limit production as she only wanted it made it for Easter.

Please order ahead, it helps us a lot both in production and timing. We will be open on Friday until 5 pm and on Saturday until 4 pm. And I forgot to mention Butterflake and Cloverleaf dinner rolls!  Have a terrific holiday and we will see you soon.
